What will I receive as part of the Seacrets franchise system?
You and your key management and kitchen staff will receive up to eight weeks of training at our corporate location. Additional training will be provided if hotel or nightclub operations are part of your franchise business. You will also receive up to two weeks of onsite help at your own location around the time of your grand opening. You will have access to the recognized Seacrets trademarks and our unique operational procedures, recipes, décor specifications, and a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business effectively.
What type of experience or background do I need to have?
You or an operating partner within your franchise team must have significant foodservice and/or hospitality experience in order to qualify to become a Seacrets franchise owner. In most cases, we expect franchise owners/operating partners to take an active role in daily operations. Sales, customer relations, and supervisory skills, plus a strong work ethic coupled with honesty and integrity, are also important. And, you must be able to meet the financial requirements for developing and operating a Seacrets business. In exchange, we will train you on how to operate your own Seacrets franchise.
How much will the Seacrets franchise investment cost me?
The estimated required investment for a standard franchised business ranges from $1,639,333 to $3,061,667 including initial franchise fee of $45,000. (The investment is higher, of course, for expanded franchised businesses, or if hotel or nightclub options are added to the business.)
Are there royalty fees paid to the franchisor?
Yes. Franchisees are required to pay a royalty fee equal to 6% of gross revenues of the franchised business. (The royalty fee is higher on gross revenues from hotel operations, which is 10%, if applicable.) These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of product lines, procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.
Are there any advertising fees?
Franchisees are required to spend 1% of gross revenues on local marketing. Franchisees may also be required to contribute between 1% and 2% their gross revenues toward a system marketing fund. A system marketing fund is used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Seacrets brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials.
Is financing available?
No, we do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies, on a case-by-case basis.
What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The initial term of your franchise agreement is ten years, with two subsequent ten-year successor terms.
